All surveys are carried out by a NACE Certified PCS in accordance with internationally accepted standards and will provide the client with:

• A detailed coating assessment for each element of the plant.
• A detailed assessment of the extent & severity of corrosion in each element of the plant.
• Lead content, where applicable, of existing coatings.
• A detailed maintenance strategy including the suitability of existing coatings for retention & overcoating.

Many clients use their own highly evolved coating specifications when carrying out Coating Projects at their facilities.

However clients with a less frequent requirement for coating works may require contract specific specifications to be prepared.

Where required, Corrosion Solutions will prepare detailed specifications covering all aspects of the proposed works, clearly identifying scope, roles, responsibilities, coating systems, relevant standards and preparation & application requirements, etc.

Coating failure can occur in many forms from early corrosion onset to adhesion failure and may be the result of poor preparation & application, an inappropriate coating system or a poorly prepared specification.

In the event of such a failure, CSIS provide a complete investigative service including adhesion, cure, thickness, porosity & hardness testing, and analysis of the project specification & determination of the coating system durability.
